Ovarian Cancer Canada is pleased to announce the , a new funding opportunity open to researchers across Canada. This competition will invest $1 million in innovative pragmatic clinical trials with the potential to advance the early detection and precision treatment of ovarian cancer.

Applicants may request up to $500,000 per project over a two-year period. Ovarian Cancer Canada encourages innovative, patient-centered research that can be integrated into the existing healthcare system, with meaningful patient engagement throughout the research process. Applications must also demonstrate a pathway to commercialization and incorporate equity, diversity and inclusion principles in study design.

Detailed Competition Guidelines and the new Registration for Application Submission online form are . The deadline for complete submissions is November 30, 2026, at 11:59PM ET. Funding is expected to start in March 2027.

A for prospective applicants will be held on October 6, 2026, at 7pm EDT. The session will review key timelines, application requirements and evaluation criteria, and will include an opportunity for questions.
